In May 2016 The Safeguarding team decided to run a Safeguarding Superhero Competition where we invited young players to design a poster with a Superhero protecting children and they also gave their Superhero a name. We held a fun day with lots of activities and invited players and their families to attend in Superhero fancy dress and prizes for the three most creative posters were presented by Manchester FA who judged the competition on the day. On the day we also raised money With Manchester FA for the Key103 Cash For kids appeal. This competition really helped to create awareness about Safeguarding with the children and families who came along on the day. It turned out that all three winners attended St Peters school in Swinton so Manchester FA visited the school and presented certificates and prizes to the winners.
